Three Little Kittens

Three little kittens they lost their mittens, and they began to cry,
"Oh mother dear, we sadly fear that we have lost our mittens."
"What! Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie."
"Meeow, meeow, meeow, now we shall have no pie."
The three little kittens they found their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh mother dear, see here, see here
For we have found our mittens."
"Put on your mittens, you silly kittens
And you shall have some pie"
"Meeow, meeow, meeow,
Now let us have some pie."
The three little kittens put on their mittens
And soon ate up the pie,
"Oh mother dear, we greatly fear
That we have soiled our mittens."
"What! soiled you mittens, you naughty kittens!"
Then they began to cry, "Meeow, meeow, meeow"
Then they began to sigh.
The three little kittens they washed their mittens
And hung them out to dry,
"Oh mother dear, do you not hear
That we have washed our mittens."
"What! washed your mittens, you are good kittens."
But I smell a rat close by,
"Meeow, meeow, meeow" we smell a rat close by...

I don't know if it was all the nursery rhyme bentos from the Bento Blogger and Friends that do Muffin Tin Monday or what, but this was stuck in my head this morning. So I turned to my CuteZCute and found the kitten face.

 In this lunch :
  • Peanut butter and jelly CuteZCute Kitten with mittens
  • Pirates booty
  • Kitty pick is on a strawberry kitten with cherry mittens
  • Cucumber kitten details made using the CuteZcute cutter on the peel
I think its hilarious the way my train of thought works at 6am. Woke up with no plan in mind, still hate Mr. Meany-pants alarm clock. First I looked at Green Monkey's library book and thought hmm maybe I should follow Keitha's Chaos's footsteps and do a book lunch, then realized I'd want to do that at night to use more detail. No ok something faster, then Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory popped into my head with soft kitty.
Now I know I've seen that theme done before, though at the time I couldn't remember who had done it. So I hopped on my friend Pinterest as I sat down to write this morning and found one from Bento for Kidlet, oh actually two here's the other, and one from Biting The Hand That Feeds You. But that's still not where my mind settled while making lunch. No the mental jukebox played on and while cutting the fruits and veggies the old nursery rhyme Three Little Kittens by Gru from Despicable Me popped into my head next. So how's that for insight into a crazy bento mommy's head?
