Happy Birthday Douglas Adams

What can I possibly say about Douglas Adams that could come close to his level of humor and insight. Truth is I can't I'm just not that witty. So instead I've decided to share a couple of my favorite quotes and a couple lunches inspired by Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy one of my favorite books and movies of all time. Happy birthday good sir and thanks for all the laughs.

“Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.” ― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
 Don't Panic

In this lunch :
  • Mixed greens salad
  • Ham computer with cheese keyboard and letters
  • Carrots
  • Sugar snap peas
  • Apple 42 the answer to life, the universe, and everything
  • Grapes
  • Almonds
  • Babybel Marvin
“The Answer to the Great Question... Of Life, the Universe and Everything... Is... Forty-two,' said Deep Thought, with infinite majesty and calm.”
Douglas Adams,
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

A little while back we made one for the dolphins for a Geeky Valentine Blog Hop.

So long and thanks for all the fish

In this lunch :
  • Peanut butter and jelly Dolphins circling a heart
  • M&Ms
  • Goldfish crackers
  • Strawberries
“The last ever dolphin message was misinterpreted as a surprisingly sophisticated attempt to do a double-backwards-somersault through a hoop whilst whistling the 'Star Spangled Banner', but in fact the message was this: So long and thanks for all the fish.
Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

“A computer chatted to itself in alarm as it noticed an airlock open and close itself for no apparent reason.
This was because Reason was in fact out to lunch.”
Douglas Adams,
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
