Well it's April Fool's day, and while I loved it as a kid I haven't had a chance to play pranks in years due to a lack of willing participants. I was hoping my 6 year old would be ready this year...but no...at least not at 6am. The plan was simple, breakfast I gave him a fork instead of a spoon to eat his cereal, but in his groggy haze of forced awakening he was....not amused, nah that's too nice, he was angry. He stomped off back to bed and dug in under his blankets.
"MOM! You gave me a fork!"
"Ha ha April Fool's!"
"Ugh I hate April Fool's! I am not celebrating"...stomp stomp stomp
He did come back out and finish breakfast with a spoon.
Needless to say my next prank is being put away until next year. I wanted to bento last night's dinner...which he wouldn't even try, and show it to him as his lunch today. Then after the drama sure to ensue I'd show him the real one....but one tantrum is enough for any morning so I kept that to myself. ;)
I hope all of you had more fun today! He did warm up and attempt to tell jokes at school but his stand-up routine isn't very polished yet.

Such a fun weekend for Geek TV. Got to welcome back Doctor Who and Game of Thrones, and say good-bye to The Walking Dead until next season. How did you spend Easter? :) Oh right Easter! Yes we did that too! I'll post that separately though, stay tuned! I promise it was totally G-rated.
