Think Fast Thursday

Another morning, 3 more lunches to pack, and not a thought in my mind. Oh wait, one thought, coffee! Nothing too fancy happens in the morning, and as you can see my mind tends to wander. In fact I think my childhood dream of becoming Wonder Woman may have come true, just not with the super cool Amazonian powers and body...I wonder what I came in here for, I wonder where that thing I just had went, I wonder what it is I'm forgetting...

Gobble Gobble

In this lunch : In an Easy Lunch Box
  • Turkey - Peanutbutter and jelly sandwich with candy eyes, candy corn, a little decorater's gel, red and green grapes
  • Carrots
  • Cornucopias - bugles
Mustache Choices
I found cool mustache straws awhile back, and we all know food on a stick is fun, but add a mustache and BAM! So  many staches to choose from I just couldn't pick.

In this lunch : In an Easy Lunch Box
  • Mo lunch Mo better - Turkey and provolone sandwich cubes ob picks with mustaches
  • Carrots
  • Green and red grapes
Dog Dean Afternoon
One of the funniest Supernatural episodes this season. Dean gets insight through canine mind meld.

In this lunch : In an Easy Lunch Box
  • Man's Best Friend? Summer salad blend - sesame seeds and cheese, provolone cheese, ham dog
  • Veteran's Day (Nov. 11th)Poppy - Salami - sad attempt I know but my flower skills are nill so I used a dog pick to hold it together
  • Green and Red grapes
I don't pack lunch on Monday except for Green Monkey so I made my red poppy today. See my mind wanders but there's lots of stuff up there once it shakes loose.

Monkey Business

Little Blue Monkey and I had our 1st days of school today! He started the day off all smiles...bless his teachers heart ;). I had a great 1st day of teaching, I love our kids and the staff.

 Remember he's cute for a reason ;)

Tuesday, It must be Pig  in a Poke!

I know it's only the second week of school, and first day for Blue Monkey and I, but already our routine is... well... routine, so Tuesday made me think of Sam and Dean.

In my lunch : We got a Goodbyn bynto box at Target, but it's huge for my kids appetites so now it's mine :)
  • Pig in a Poke - American blend salad, cucumber and ham pigs
  • Trader Joe's veggie straws
  • Fruit salad - cotton candy grapes, oranges, strawberries
 Back to School

In this lunch :
  • Pencil - Carb smart tortilla, Sunbutter, banana, honey, decorated with food coloring
  • Carrots, cotton candy grapes, orange slices

On a roll
In this lunch :
  • Banana, sunbutter, and honey roll-up
  • Carrots, cotton candy grapes, orange slices, cucumber slices
So this was their first experience with sunbutter, or a banana roll-up. Neither touched it, Green Monkey was afraid it was peanut butter and didn't want to chance his classmate having an allergic reaction. I had told him at breakfast it was sunbutter not peanuts and wrote it on his napkin note, but he's not remotely a morning person. The little blue was having a difficult day adjusting to class rules and refused to try it. So while I can attest it is in fact delicious ( I taste tested last night), mine will have to try it again during more awake hours then I can pack this again. for those with allergies or in a class with food allergy sufferers Sunbutter is yummy for those hooked on PB&J.

We got work to do

Summer time gives me a breather from the daily rush of getting kids out the door pre-dawn. So I thought I could have a little fun of my own. This week I'm playing with my food. One of my favorite new found shows is Supernatural. I know its been out since 2005 but I am just now getting around to watching it on Netflix. I am hooked. These brothers crack me up, and of course the haunted tales are awesome.
These are a few of Dean's favorite things

In this lunch :
  • Dean's 1967 black Impala on provolone
  • License Plate - KAZ 2Y5 cut from cucumbers on top of salad
  • Dean's apples - He has a thing for apple pie. I also spread them like wings, but no spoilers.
  • Trail mix - road food
