Eggciting days ahead

I'm still playing with all my new bento toys. You can win some cute picks in my 1st Blogiversary Giveaway. Today I'm playing with egg molds from All Things For Sale. These are great you can mold your hard boiled eggs, and since it snaps shut they even kept in the fridge for a couple days before I needed them. The back of the molds has a sandwich cutter so you can make matching sandwiches, or fruit. This is their first time trying hard-boiled eggs so cross your fingers. I also wanted a little extra love in their boxes as we get into the busy schedules of school and me working for the first time in their lives, so I added some Lunchbox Love from Say Please.

  1. I have all of those egg molds and use them fairly frequently for eggs (my daughter loves them) and have even tried using them as rice molds. I never even noticed that the back of the mold could be used for sandwiches! I can't wait to try this!

    1. So far little blue monkey was not a fan of hard-boiled eggs. Maybe I will make him rice next :) Can't wait to hear how big green monkey liked his. Worked great on fruit too, but I think next time I'd cut the watermelon a little thicker so more detail shows up. Super fast lunches though, each took roughly 6-7 min to make and that's with hunting down ingredients and trying to decide what to make.

  2. I'm just a big kid and smush everything even if it is not sold as a cutter :) These are the ones I got from All Things For Sale http://www.allthingsforsale.com/bento-cup-mold/1469-hard-boiled-egg-mold-rabbit-bear-for-bento-decoration-0843495007402.html

The backside has a cut out edge and if you press bread in it gets the pattern too.

  3. OMG. I never realized there was a cutter on those egg molds. Love mine, but haven't done anything other than eggs or rice. How fun!

    1. Thanks! 1 out of 2 kids liked the eggs, but both tried them and that's what all of this is about, so I'm a happy momma. :)
